They did a very good job of tidying up after themselves. Who knows what they will get up to next though? Why not join us and find out?

Bloody hell I can go

UnbornMortificado · 15/01/2017 22:39

Go off topic.

I still vote for breeches. Poldark is beautiful.

Marcipex · 15/01/2017 22:51

I just couldn't seem to get Poldark.

My back hurts so god knows I need a distraction, but it did nothing for me.

marriednotdead · 15/01/2017 22:56

Every time I leave this thread for a couple of days I come back feeling as if I've walked into the wrong room, and am consequently even more confused than usual. Christ knows what it would be like if I drank.

Kilts vs tight breeches. Hmm. Have not tested either. Any suggestions as to where I may be able to sample both, in the name of research you understand? Grin

How are you doing Zombie?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 15/01/2017 23:16

Uniforms takes too long to get off.

Too many buttons.

Trust me Wink

OhTheRoses · 15/01/2017 23:46

Mr Ross just isn't my type. Now, that nice Yong Dr Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 16/01/2017 00:10

I had a Brazilian Navy -ONS boyfriend, he missed had a very early morning flight.

S'why I don't like buttons.

Fiderer · 16/01/2017 06:10

Morning Phalanx,

Hope the bed's still helping you with more comfortable zzzs Z

When do the days start getting lighter? Fed up of gloom till gone 8.

Adding to the kilt and/or breeches, the crisp white shirt rolled up showing a well-toned forearm.

Rarely see a man in a suit here, let alone one displaying a forearm for my drooling delectation.

OhTheRoses · 16/01/2017 06:45

Morning all. Morning Zombie.

Ah yes, the days. It's pitch black here still with rain drumming on the conservatory. Can't even see the outlines of the trees yet. But my daffodils are just beginning to peep through.

I always think Feb half term is the turning point. There's always a day in Feb when I leave work on time and realise there's blue sky after 5 and blossom.

Fiderer · 16/01/2017 07:02

True, blossom is wonderfully cheery.

We don't get half-term here apart from in October. 2 weeks, from the days when the children would help with the grape harvest. We get 2 days off in Feb for carnival which is a Thing. 2 days isn't much of a Thing though Grin

bookbook · 16/01/2017 07:41

Morning
Hope you are comfortable Zombie and managing to sleep
It is still dark here, and raining. Haven't opened the curtains. But snowdrops are poking through, and the pansies are flowering away in pots at my door, .
Need to get a wiggle on though -its a busy day ,( along with doing a tiny bit of retail therapy )

OhTheRoses · 16/01/2017 08:08

Yes, the garden is starting to get exciting. I've got winter pansies, hellebores, cyclamen and primroses presently. Missed the bulbs last spring because I was ill. We have a stonking bank of magnolia, rhododendrons and azalea to look forward to though.

Somerville · 16/01/2017 09:16

Men in uniform don't do it for me. Probably because I'm a forces brat!

No story behind the tennis, really Fids. MrSomer thinks I'll like it if I get better at it, so added me onto his membership of the swanky indoor tennis club, and promised to teach me himself so I don't have to embarrass myself publically.
It won't be long before he realises quite how clumsy I actually am and gives up - so I'll be free to hang out in the very nice sauna at his club

I did get teased on the school run this morning for being a newly wed walking like a cowboy. And didn't admit that it was because of sport!

Susiesoap7 · 16/01/2017 09:33

Can't stop singing 🎤 In the navy🎤 How are you zombie? 🌺🌺

UnbornMortificado · 16/01/2017 09:47

I feel I have missed out on this uniform fun. DH does have a hard hat and high is jacket but I don't think that counts..

Has anyone heard off Zombie? She's been absent from FB as well.

Zombie if your reading hope your ok Flowers

Mummylin · 16/01/2017 09:50

Good morning all, I am losing the gist of the conversations on here at the moment, don't know if I'm going on a cruise, or partying !
Zombie hope you are still sleeping ok in your new bed and that zombiecats are not too much of a problem.i am busy knitting squares so can't be on here at the same time !!

Fiderer · 16/01/2017 10:27

Zombie does go quiet at times when she's not up to posting. Am not on FB and don't like to mail or phone her and disrupt what rest she's getting.

I did bother her a wee while ago about our concerns & she Zombiely told me 'tis all in hand.

Much love as always if you're reading, Z. Must go to work which is annoying as I've finally remembered how to cast on Grin

IamtheZombie · 16/01/2017 10:28

Morning.

I realise I've been quiet for a couple of days. They've not been particularly good days.

This afternoon I have to go to my GP for a flu jab and to collect a large bag of drugs. Then I will try to pop into Harry Tuffins for milk and bread. I imagine I will collapse onto my new bed as soon as I get home.

Tomorrow is lovely cleaner day. In addition to all the work she will achieve, it will be so nice to have some company. Feeling like shit and being so lonely isn't a combination I'd wish on my worst enemy.

We're always here, lovely Flowers Online, but in many countries and in many people's hearts. Am sure there are posters nearby who'd willingly come and play with the bed cheer you up.

BathshebaDarkstone · 16/01/2017 10:41

Morning Z and Phalanx! In the Sainsbury's café again, DS2 has got Lego creations club today. As BathsLad's also obsessed with Lego, I think it may be genetic! Grin

Did I miss a house party? DAMN YOU VODAFONE! Angry

derxa · 16/01/2017 10:41
Flowers
Somerville · 16/01/2017 10:47

Oh Zombie. Wish I lived closer.
(In my head, a random from the internet turning up would be just what you need to brighten your day Confused I guess what might actually help is an old friend visiting. Anyone you can send an SOS text to?)

Hope it goes okay at GP and shops.

PotOfYoghurt · 16/01/2017 10:50

I'm sorry Z. (Gentle pat-pat)

mrsBeverleygoldberg · 16/01/2017 10:56

Zombie, I wish I could pop round and see you! I have just walked the dog in the rain. I don't usually mind as he loves puddles and mud, but dh has put my wellies in a place he can't remember, so I had to wear ds1's size 9s! With the squelchy mud underfoot and too big boots it was slippery! I keep my wellies in a bin bag by the door. He puts a bin bag from the kitchen by the door to take out later(??). So I wonder if he took my boots out with the rubbish? He wondered if he put them in the shed. When I went out there to check I trod in a dog poo. If the dog poos when you let him out you need to pick it up. I haven't let the dog out, so he should have picked it up! Gah!
It's worse as my depression has reared up so I'm exhausted. Dh is a good bloke really as I slept until 3pm yesterday and he did housework and looked after our boys.
I am going to shower now as I'm not sure my new tattoo is ready for the bath yet. Then I'll have a nap. Blush

Mummylin · 16/01/2017 11:04

I'm sorry to see this Zombie. I have no idea how far I am away from you, but I would visit if I could.
I cannot imagine how awful it must be to feel crap and no- one is there to help or comfort you.
Is there a district nurse that could pop in now and then ? I can't think of anything else at the moment, maybe someone else can.
