They did a very good job of tidying up after themselves. Who knows what they will get up to next though? Why not join us and find out?

Zombie hope your having a comfortable day Flowers

I shall second the tight breeches suggestion.

Somerville · 15/01/2017 20:08

Hearts Envy - I think men look hotter than hot in kilts. But I've sadly never found myself a Scottish chap.

bookbook · 15/01/2017 20:32

Have you read Cross Stitch by Diana Gabaldon Somer ? - if you like kilts and all Grin ( though Lymond still is a strong contender for my hero, I think Jamie is just about on a par)
I ditto Envy Hearts

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 15/01/2017 20:42

Nah, sod tight breeches.

Easy access every time Grin

Envy Hearts did you make it through the day?!

derxa · 15/01/2017 20:42

I love a man in a kilt. But then I am Scottish. DH doesn't wear one because he says men who wear specs can't wear kilts. I used to go to lots of weddings where all the men wore kilts.

Susiesoap7 · 15/01/2017 21:10

Oh no you went to houseparty without us, never mind you can show us all the way for sat night.i like your cruises ikl! We will enjoy all that food, I'm still a bit worried about falling. In the pool or the sea but if I have plenty of wine I'm sure I will be able to swim!! We can throw the instruments into the sea! Lol 😻Hope we find kilted men and tight breeches there 😻

Allalonenow · 15/01/2017 21:14

Susie On a cruise we will be surrounded by men in naval uniform, say no more....

Somerville · 15/01/2017 21:37

Jamie just about on a par with Lymond??

Wash your mouth out with dettol, Book!

Another MN recced me Gabaldon but ONLY if I promised not to read beyond the first 1 or 2. I cheated and read them all. Lord Johns and everything!
They get increasingly crap but they're also rather addictive. I enjoyed them a lot whilst half hating myself for not being able to resist them!

Right, I have to go for a long bath now. I had a tennis lesson earlier and have discovered muscles that I didn't know existed. And that was with barely being able to return a ball yet. Confused

Zombie I hope you are not having too bad a day...

OhTheRoses · 15/01/2017 21:40

I do hope you have all had a lovely party and Zombie has enjoyed it.

Waves and hopes all are well (ish of course), happy and coping with life's delights - the good and bad that fate throws at us.

Goodness, an eternity ago I had a naval boyfriend. Ahem Grin

Fiderer · 15/01/2017 21:54

Goodness (channels Roses)

A thread with Cuban guitar teachers & now uniformed footmen & kilted men & naval boyfriends...

OhTheRoses · 15/01/2017 21:59

Ooh, he was lovely in his uniform. Passed out with Prince Andrew.

I enjoyed quite a few balls in Dartmouth.

Fiderer · 15/01/2017 22:01
PacificDogwod · 15/01/2017 22:02

I like a man in uniform and out of their uniform Grin

A kilt worn well is also vair nice as long as the legs are not too skinny - a bit of objectifying has never harmed anyone, has it?! Hmm

bookbook · 15/01/2017 22:05

hahaha! Somer - yes I agree, the writing is erm...... , but by gum , you have to keep reading. I enjoyed the first three much much more than the following ones. ( They have made a TV series called Outlander on Amazon I believe - I hear its quite watchable Grin but don't have Amazon prime - maybe a good thing!).
I'm here giving the fingers a rest . (If I knit after 10 at night, the morning sees me pulling it out
Passed out as in alcohol?

Allalonenow · 15/01/2017 22:06

Ooohh Roses tell us more.

OhTheRoses · 15/01/2017 22:12

There's not a lot to tell. He was awfully nice, very kind, joined the SBS, now runs yachts and private aircraft. Didn't want children for sad and personal reasons and it fizzled. Very good man.

Fiderer · 15/01/2017 22:17

Come on Roses I never had a naval bf and am now too old for one.

Spill nautical details ...

Oi - and the tennis & footman lot. I told all about my date with the Cuban guitar player (well more than I'd tell my mother anyway) so to coin a Phalanx phrase - spill all now.

Fiderer · 15/01/2017 22:19

x-posted with Roses

Sounds like a sad episode of Cabin Pressure.

UnbornMortificado · 15/01/2017 22:20

Roses my dad (biological) passed out the same time as Prince Andrew as well. Small world.

Not your ex unless you suspect he was hiding 2 1/2 children.

OhTheRoses · 15/01/2017 22:21

Well, he was v v good and enduring. A v good Lt Commander.

OhTheRoses · 15/01/2017 22:21

I do like a man who commands attention.

OhTheRoses · 15/01/2017 22:24

No, not my ex I don't think.

The Queen was v v tiny I recall and some poor chop did literally pass out.

UnbornMortificado · 15/01/2017 22:29

My mam hated being a navy wife he worked away 6 months at a time. Then she got pregnant with my brother the dates didn't add up and all hell broke lose.

OhTheRoses · 15/01/2017 22:35

Oh lorks unborn. Perhaps it was good training for me. My DH has often been absent just due to being a workaholic.
