How long for infant gaviscon to work??????

DD2 has reflux just like DD1. DD1 ended up on enfamil formula after trying gaviscon and carobel. Gp said to give it a month, its been 2 weeks and after initial 2 days[just like dd1] of her being settled she was back to the screaming in agony and throwing up.So do I carry on for another 2 wks or phone GP on mon for an appointment?

take her to docs. Im shocked doc told you to wait a month after what happened with H!! HAve 5 tins of enfamil here if you want it?

noooooooo - should work more quickly than that! take her back to docs as it sounds like she needs something more powerful. My DS was on ranitadine and domperidone for his reflux - gaviscon unfortunately did nothing for him. Enfamil is also very good and DS was prescribed it ...

I have 5 tins of enfamil left from DD1 but thanks hun..DH is saying we should just start DD2 on it and then ask gp to prescribe it...is that bad?

no definately do it and say you rang NHS direct and asked advice! I know how horrid it is and wouldnt hesitate putting any other child i may have on this milk! (also think how much cheaper it will be!LMAO
