What do you have up at your kitchen window?
Need to replace. Currently got roller blinds and always have had.I love the look of Venetian blinds but would they be a waste of money as I suppose they would be 'up' most of the time? The window is behind the sink so anything 'down' does get splashed..Sigh. Am boring myself now...
Back garden so privacy not an issue.

We haven't -we thought about a wooden venetian blind but then realised there was no point as all it did was block out the light and the view.

I've got superkitsch pelmets made from red and white gingham on net curtain wires. Very cheap and easy to make. Our kitchen is at the back so no need for blinds either.

If you don't need a "working" blind you can just dress the window with a fake blind, held in place by velcro glued to the wall.

Our kitchen is at the front of the house so we have modern metal blinds.

We have a cane roller blind from Ikea. It is a very wide window so this was the cheapest option. We don't need it for privacy but sometimes the sun can be very bad in the children's faces when they are eating, so we use it for that.

Most of us have our window by the sink so curtains would get in the way.

Roller blinds are good but sometimes you feel like a change.

Roman blinds block out the light and generally arent that easy to keep clean.

Venetian blinds are a good choice because generally you can just give them a wipe to keep them clean and you can have privacy without blocking out too much light.
