Aw Slink, poor thing, I feel for you.

Neat TCP is good, or Tea Tree oil if you prefer. I'm a believer in drinking loads of water etc and just general decent diet stuff, but that's longer term stuff.

Birthdays ending in 0 are often difficult, hope you two are ok.

Not link between bad diet and spots, I'm afraid. Ask your pharmacist for advice, if that doesn't work see your GP and there are a range of things that you can try. Hope that you feel better soon.

I also have spot prone skin, despite being a good distance from my teenage years ! I find that the following skin care regime, helps to control break outs.

DAILY

  • Wash twice daily with St Ives Exfoliating Apricot scrub (the one in the white tube).

  • Pat skin dry and apply a topical cream/ointment, I use either Pan Oxyl 5 (over the counter), or witchstick (with the face washes etc in your supermarket, contains witch hazel).

  • Finish with an oil free light moisturiser (mine is a fairly basis Tesco Skin Wisdom one). Going for one with no perfumes etc is a good idea. Perhaps a range like Simple ?

  • As little make up as possible to let my pores breathe.

ONCE A WEEK (or twice if it's pre-menstrual breakout week). Usually better after a bath so your pores are open.

  • Deep exfoliate with Clarins thingy... 'Doux Peeling Visage'

  • Apply a good layer of T-Zone tea tree face pack and RELAX for 20 mins.

  • Take it off and do standard daily routine.

Reading it back it sounds like a right load of faff, but I assure you it really isn't ! I also take a high dose evening primrose oil capsule daily and try to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day.
