Christmas for 2.5 year old

Ideas for Xmas presents ? There's so much out there but I don't want to spend a fortune. So far I've got him puzzles and books . Some toys are like £50 which I'm not prepared to pay.

Puzzles and books are fine. He doesn't know tatmas from a week last Thursday.

Buy the expensive stuff in the post tatmas sales and give for a birthday. Or just don't, he won't know or care.
