I can't begin to tell you how happy i was when the parcell arrived this morning. It was so stonishingly kind of you all to have helped to knit me a blanket. As luck would have it, it arrived when I had hit a very low patch, so if gave me the lift that I needed.

You are all so kind and I cannot think you enought, in particular those people who even learned to knit to take part.

The money for Macmillan was also wonderful, and we will pass it on to Lynn our Macmillan nurse when we see her later this week.

I'm speachless, i simply don't know what to say, and 'thank you' seem so trivial and doesn't even begin to cover what I am feeling ATM

with much love

XXX glad it reached you so fast MB, and at such a timely moment .
At the risk of sounding soppy, please forgive me, but every stitch was our way of saying how much we think about you all, and love you on here XXX

And even those of us who are unteachable in the knitting stakes (ie me) are thinking of you too, mb.

Pinkchampagne · 12/02/2007 15:23

Another unteachable knitter who is thinking of you, MB.
Glad the lovely blanket has lifted your spirits a little.

franke · 12/02/2007 15:29

Just think of it as being wrapped up in a great big mumsnet hug

JoolsToo · 12/02/2007 15:31

I didn't know it was happening, but if I had, I would have been another learned to knitter - you are in my thoughts so much

WideWebWitch · 12/02/2007 17:24

Aah, that's lovely, I didn't take part but I think about you a lot too.

Tamum · 12/02/2007 17:26

Your wish is my command I'd love to be able to take the credit but sadly I can't. It's good though, isn't it?

filthymindedvixen · 12/02/2007 17:27

I didn't know - but wish I had - I've just finished my first ever scarf ...

But I'm glad to hear of such a lovely gesture and want you to know you and your dh are often in my thoughts x

Tamum · 12/02/2007 17:28

Apologies to anyone who feels left out by the way- we just had to use an existing email list of past contributors because otherwise it wouldn't have been a surprise, what with martianbishop being an ace knitter herself

Fillyjonk · 12/02/2007 17:28

oh how wonderful! I didn't know about this, but am delighted to hear about it

Twiglett · 12/02/2007 18:12

oh I'm so pleased you liked it .. and so pleased that it reached you when you needed to be reminded how much you're respected, and indeed loved on here.

As one of those who learned to knit for it may I just say that I thought of you with every stitch, every dropped stitch, every attempt to pick up stitches and yes indeedy with every single swear-word I uttered

Littlefish · 12/02/2007 18:16

So glad you liked it MB.
