I don't have any personal friends, and it doesn't bother me, I'm happy with my own company. When the DC were small I was friends with some of the other mums, but I don't see them now some of them have died. We have friends who are couples but I don't see any of them separately. I think it comes from being an only child.

Oh WW, when Helen (I think) asked how close you were to the Arctic Circle, I did some measurements, and you're closer to me northwise than you are to the Arctic Circle, so we're practically neighbours.

I need both - time on my own each day, but I do like to see my friends. If I go too long without meeting people I start getting all chatty in shops Mind you I grew up in the village where my mum had been born & which was stuffed full of her relatives, so it was rare to leave the house & not see people you knew.

DS2 is still awake also.

When I listen to Desert Island Discs and Kirsty asks them how they'd get on being all alone on the island, I tend to sit in the car saying "that'd be just fine". Love them all to bits but that alone time is bliss.

That reminds me, I listened to Sigrid Rausing's Desert Island Discs recently. The Swedish accent is lovely
