i fell over last sunday and all down one side of me is badley bruised and i also cut my knee which needed stiches so i'm finding it hard to walk this week
my ds got invited to a party today so i had to go and get the little boy a present, driving is very painful and when we got to shopping retail park i was tempted to park in the disabled bit as i cant walk far but i didnt and had to park quite a way from the shops
what would you have done?

mmmm dunno, would have been tempted as really you are temporarily sort of disabled but then if everyone did that when they hurt themselves there wouldnt be any spaces for actual disabled.

tirnanog · 10/02/2007 18:11

I genuinely wouldn't have parked in the disabled bay,I would have gritted me teeth and hobbled and limped along as you did.

Hope the knee gets better soon, you poor thing.Arnica is good for bruising by the way

dmo · 10/02/2007 18:56

got the arnica
i'm a childminder and all my parents came with bits and bobs like arnica for me its great stuff

i would not have parked in the disabled bay...fraid a bruised and cut knee is not the same as being disabled. shame that someone else could not have gone to town for you . hope you are better soon

anniebear · 10/02/2007 20:23

I have parked in a disabled bay when the lens fell out my glasses and I couldn't see bugger all and it was the only space I could drive into without having to play dodgems with the other parked cars in the car park.

dmo · 10/02/2007 22:33

dont drive when you cant see you could cause an accident
i know my knee is painful when i drive but i was driving at 25mph

no,no,no
westcountrylass your post made me lol

taffy101 · 10/02/2007 22:46

I would have been tempted to park in disabled space - in a few new supermarkets near me there are more disabled spaces than actual disabled people exist in the area!! Seriously though without a permit you'd probably get booked.

lou33 · 10/02/2007 22:54

nope,i wouldnt have parked in it

i have a disabled son, and his blue badge has expired so i am awaiting the new one, and i wont use the bays at all until i get it in the post
