Advice needed from Kentish MNers please!! How to get to Deal!

Oh please help- we have booked in a 2 day BIBIC assessment for DD in Deal, near(ish) Dover.
Looking at the map it doesn't look a great route to get to! We are coming from Medway and hubby knows the drive to Canterbury takes him about 45 minutes.
How would you recommend we get to Deal please. The actual assessment is in Ripple, off the A258.
Some ideas of which route and ideas of time would be very much appreciated. We need to be there by about 8.30 am.

WE need to go on both Thursday and Friday, looked at possibiltiy of staying over, but assessments are already costing us £225!!!!

Hubby does the journey every now and then- goes to do a site inspection at one of the hospitals, so it's fairly accurate (according to DH!!LOL)

Lets just hope operation stack isn't in place.

I go straight down the A2 to the roundabout just above Dover, take the left turning to Deal and follow that road past Kingsdown to Ripple. Sorry, don't know the road numbers but it's by far the fastest and most straightforward route, cuts out Canterbury or Sandwich or any of that.
It usually takes me half an hour from just outside Canterbury (the Faversham side).

Have just checked AA routefinder and I think the Deal road off the A2 that I'm talking about is the A258. That's the slowest part of the journey - windy road 50mph speed limit and several speed cameras.
