Or, how do I motivate myself to do pilates dvds when I could be lying on the sofa eating chocolate and MN'ing?

I always intend to!

spudmasher · 09/02/2007 20:37

I have a bike. I do it whilst watching Corrie. The time flies by.That was the plan anyway....... Bulging thighs and my fat arse on the beach in a few months time- the thought of that might motivate me!!!

doormat · 09/02/2007 20:42

yes i do
by running round after the bloody lot of them
including stairs, lunges,when stopping someting falling off shelf, worktop etc (good cardio-vascular exercises}

weights -washing baskets and piles, huge pans of food, bags of shopping etc

repititive exercises- re scouring, scrubbing the loo etc

hmm will think of some more

liquidclocks · 09/02/2007 20:43

doormat!

FrayedKnot - find something you can do while watching the TV - for me it's the bike. Only way it can work - I couldn't force myself to do a pilates video everyday either!

dinny · 09/02/2007 20:45

yes, yoga most days and sometimes exercie DVD or X-trainer

DarrellRivers · 09/02/2007 20:46

I have a trampoline which i used once!
my mum bought it for me , and now i just get my exercise walking everywhere and running up the stairs but i do feel guilty whenever I see the trampette

FrayedKnot · 09/02/2007 20:46

I do bicep curls with my baby.... . No, seriously, I do. He thinks he's flying and grins like mad. And for more serious weightlifting, I have a 2 1/2 stone toddler as well.

DarrellRivers · 09/02/2007 20:48

Yes my biceps/triceps are no longer saggy now i can carry a 3y.o and an 18m at the same time

chocolatelovehearts · 09/02/2007 20:50

When dd is at school and therefore unavaliable i am sometimes forced to take something upstairs or get something from upstairs so yes!

flutterbee · 09/02/2007 20:51

Ooohh I have an air walker thingy and I go on it for half and hour at least 4 times a week whilst watching TV.

It's a Tony Little Gazelle freestyle and it cost me £170 delivered.

doormat · 09/02/2007 20:52

power walking- from school coz it is bloody freezing

clairemow · 09/02/2007 20:54

And it's amazing how 100 repetitions of "horsey horsey, don't you stop" can tighten up those thigh muscles. And don't get me started on the aches and pains caused by crawling round on all fours actually "being" the horse...

FrayedKnot · 09/02/2007 20:54

Have just googled it flutterbee - that thing is scary!

I would fall off it!

clairemow I am all toned up too, and bloody ache all over since working in nursery too

liquidclocks · 09/02/2007 20:57

Ok, answer to original question: Book yourself a holiday somewhere HOT where you'l just have to wear a swimsuit/bikini - nothing like the fear of looking daft to motivate you - for me it's the bridesmaid dress I have to squeeze into at the end of march!

10lbs to go...

southeastastra · 09/02/2007 21:01

i need the answer too fk! i did ten sit ups last week though

dinny · 09/02/2007 21:02
