Hi, I'm having a rant again about my neighbour.
She is just going too far. We had friends around for the england match yesterday and had a barbie.

The children were paying ball in the garden ( a light beach ball) it accidently went over the garden fence into hers. Yes you've guess it the verbal abuse started again swearing, etc.Words were exchanged. Anyway she then threw the ball back reluctantly and later it went over again ( btw doesn't usually happen).
This time the ball has not been returned it is not in her garden and I can only assume she has bursted the ball or taken it out of sight.

BTW she does have a five year old child herself.
This is just getting too much along with insulting my visitors any advice would be most helpful. Please note I had to call the police the other day because of her language at me and the children. Larsxx

Oh God Lars - I don't think I can give you any advice other than stuff that would get you arrested! I'd be tempted to lamp her one, even though I know it would only make me the bad one! What a cow!!

Can you go around and ask for the ball back? If she doesn't give you it back why don't you explain that it is theft!

What did the Police say? I'd pohone them again the next time she does it. She'll get a reputation for being a nuisance neighbour. Is she like this with the Neaighbours on the other side?

lars · 14/06/2004 14:32

Toothache, yes she is like with the other side but she is getting out of hand now. In fact I don't know how cool I'm going to be. The Police have warned her about her language as this was totally out of order and not to touch my fence she wanted this down for her extension, of course I said no as she wanted the rubbish to go through my garden and gain a few inches of her extension, this is why it's all kicked off). larsxx

I was in a similar position a couple of years ago with my neighbours. They were horrendous and police were called on several occassions. It all came to a head when he physically grabbed me from behind when I was pregnant and his wife hit my husband and they called my disabled daughter a 'retard' (who was only 2 at the time) The police came out and whatever went on, I dont know! but they put their house up for sale and moved.

I really dont know what to advise you as I hadnt a clue what to do myself. It was just row after row and I think unless one of you moves it will carry on. The police told me at the time that if they keep being called out then eventually the matter goes to court.

Many sympathies from me, I know what its like. I used to dread even going into the garden to hang the washing out

and I know what you mean about the language issue aswell! Our neighbours used to F and blind any time of day in front of our kids

Lars, I have read your other thread, and even though I sympathise wit your suggestion I would forget about the ball, it's not worth it to have another discussion with her just to recover the ball.

Chandra · 14/06/2004 14:47

your suggestion??? your situation I meant,, sorry
