DD watching Bambi for the first time ever .. should I distract her when the mummy kicks the bucket?

It never bothered DS but don't know if it will bother DD

How old is she? dd was 3 or 4 and ds was 2 and neither of them liked it. Lead to lots and lots of questions and "But what... but why... but how..."!

tbh she's engrossed with putting a plastic bowl on her tummy at the moment so it may well be a moot point

neither dd (3) or ds (6) has ever shown any distress at all.

Maybe I need to address my mothering skills...

well .. I still remember how traumatic I found it ... in the 1960s!! I ran out to the loos sobbing and didn't go back for ages. Maybe kids are tougher today!

my 4 yr old blubbed and blubbed but her 2 yr old sister just looked at her with mild disinterest

mine were far more distressed at ET, tears rolling down the cheeks etc when Elliot had to say goodbye
