go to Tools, Internet Options
Then in the Browsing History section, there is a Delete button

will that also get rid of the one in the address bit too?

go into internet options (under tools). AFAIR you can choose to delete different bits or delete it all.

while you are on the internet, click on the 'History' icon ( a sundial I think) or go to 'View' then 'Explorer bar' the 'history'

Right click on all the mumsnet reference and select 'delete'
