Now we have had a little pause, in which to mull over the highs and lows of the last game and possibly rethink our strategies, might it be nice to start again?

I've been reflecting on what the vice-consul said in Ouagadougou in '67. She was quite right, after all, and so I shall disregard the naysayers and offer you a Musgrave's Collateral to

Oxford Circus

Excellent. Let's go on a Freddie Mercury-inspired jaunt. For a night at the opera, we shall alight at

Covent Garden

SlinkyVagabond · 14/10/2016 22:49

Well dine Maud. In which case, Doncaster for A Day at the Races.

MyNightWithMaud · 15/10/2016 10:17

Hmm. I do hope that nobody succumbs to a sheer heart attack (although I guess the Colonel remains at risk, if he continues to attempt fifty consecutive fouettés with his young chums in the Bolshoi) but, just in case, as it's so convenient for the hospital

Brompton Road

The Colonel never ceases to amaze me. Those Jacobs on his farm could tell some stories too, couldn't they?

The Ealing Broadway branch is closed which brings Rule 156(xxvii) into force until 4 p.m. GMT so I take gross advantage and play Prince Regent.

Oh, and the Dowager got early release yesterday. Lock up your silverware!

dementedma · 15/10/2016 12:22

The Dowager is out? In time for Hallowe'en? That does not bode well, so on that dark note I take us all to the Tower...tower bridge. Usually an ineligible play when speddings are in flow, but as the moon is in Pisces we should just about scrape through.

ForalltheSaints · 15/10/2016 20:09

I hope you did not have a mishap as Tower Bridge is closed for repairs.

So it is off to Hampstead Heath as it is near the Royal Free Hospital, in case medical treatment is needed.

Andrewofgg · 16/10/2016 12:01

Tower Bridge is closed for the hoi polloi but not for the senior adepts of MC - it saves miles on my journey from the Castle to the Manor.

Goldhawk Road

MyNightWithMaud · 16/10/2016 14:30

And what a dash you cut, Andrew, in your plus-fours and Norfolk jacket, as you sashay about town.

For me

Finsbury Park

OP posts:
ForalltheSaints · 17/10/2016 15:34

Surely if you go to the Manor it should be Manor House, at least according to the rules of MC?

MyNightWithMaud · 17/10/2016 16:01

I think we are pushing the envelope as far as the rules of MC go, Saints. After all, those of us who were at the Winnebago Conference and Rehab last year had a chance to indulge in some blue sky thinking and write the latest volume and its 78 codicils. So, I'm going to run this up the flagpole and see who salutes:

Wimbledon

I think we should go for the low hanging fruit first Maud and so to the orchards of Taunton

Andrewofgg · 17/10/2016 20:36

Taunton brings back memories to some of us (eh, Maud?) but I have promised never again to mention the Squadron-Leader, the grass-snake, and the plate of cup cakes and I am a man of my word.

Fishguard.

MyNightWithMaud · 17/10/2016 22:49

::feigns ignorance of whatever it might be that Andrew is alluding to::

I see your low-hanging fruit, dementedma, and raise you

Ladbroke Grove

OP posts:
dementedma · 18/10/2016 19:05

Oh Maud so coy! It was the talk of the ton and the Squadron Leader received such a dressing down from the Vice Air Marshall for his part in the proceedings. It provided much diversion during the intensity of the county challenge cup, and I'm sure you still have the tattoo to remind you.
I play a cross bender to Bristol Temple Meads.

Andrewofgg · 18/10/2016 19:37

Anyway Maud it's all on YouTube - the age-restricted side, of course. But you told me you were going to get the tattoo removed, which I thought was a pity. After all, you didn't have to see it. Just sit on it.

Bristol TM is a dull but safe move, but we don't do dull and safe in good quality MC like this. It's neck or nothing and we'll meet in Devizes.

MyNightWithMaud · 19/10/2016 09:08

Oh no, that's not moi on YouTube. Stars of my magnitude always use a body double, doncha know?

Devizes is all well and good, if you're opting for the staid and mundane, but we need to break loose. Be wild. Be free. Go to

Banbury

OP posts:
IrenetheQuaint · 19/10/2016 09:47

Dear me, I fear that this game is breaking loose of every conceivable MC convention.

I don't fancy being blacklisted again - my encounter with the Inquisitor last time was really quite unpleasant and the burn mark still tingles under hot water, not to mention preventing me from wearing one of my favourite outfits - so I shall essay a decorous Latymer to High Barnet.

MyNightWithMaud · 19/10/2016 15:48

To which, dearest Irene, the only possible response is a backcombed barnet to

Chalfont and Latimer

OP posts:
dementedma · 19/10/2016 18:47

A Paso doble to elephant and castle I think, and a girding of loins for upping the game to sensei level. Who's in?

GiGiraffe · 19/10/2016 19:05

A swirl of my cape brings us to Kensal Rise, where most prefer the tango anyway

ForalltheSaints · 19/10/2016 19:27

Trouble on the Bakerloo line again- try any dancing on those narrow carriages and the incident of 1983 may well be repeated. The platforms are not much better a location either.

There's a nice space at Willesden Junction I suggest.

Andrewofgg · 19/10/2016 22:19

Saints as you know we don't mention 1983 that year unless . . no, we just don't. If you ever feel tempted to do it again, think of Tananarive '87 and be warned.

I was at MC Towers this morning and I bumped into the Chief Assistant to the Assistant Chief who assures me that the case will be coming up in the next three months in the magistrates' court at Rickmansworth.

MyNightWithMaud · 20/10/2016 14:18

Sensei level is the next logical step, I think, dementedma. I'll (ninja) kick off with a leisurely Parkinson to

Tokyo Shibuya

Oh, ho, ho, Asia is it?

Right you are.

Simla

ForalltheSaints · 20/10/2016 18:12

I think all this talk of Asia brings the thought of a curry and so off to Aldgate East for Brick Lane.
