Now we have had a little pause, in which to mull over the highs and lows of the last game and possibly rethink our strategies, might it be nice to start again?

I've been reflecting on what the vice-consul said in Ouagadougou in '67. She was quite right, after all, and so I shall disregard the naysayers and offer you a Musgrave's Collateral to

Oxford Circus

Wow! I didn't send that coming. I thought we were at least a day away from the summit of MC. I need some time to contemplate my options for the next game.

C U l8r, as the young folk say.

(going to start another game)

Only six weeks- this is the shortest MC game on MN ever it seems!

Well no, Saints, there was the infamous game between Indira Ghandi and Ted Heath in '64. Indira was a legendary player, as you all know from reading Shackleton's book about her skills, much admired for her convoluted and intricately planned play. Whereas Grocer Heath saw no point in all the "folderol" and looked always for the quick logical win. So Indira opened with her favourite, Bank, Heath, the cad, immediately played an Imminghams's follow through STRAIGHT TO MC! Totally legit of course, but it set Anglo Indian relations back 20 years. Pater was all for getting out the twelve bore-think how that would have changed British history!
Are we having a pre Christmas sojourn? I know many of us will be pickled from now till 12th night, but a light game could brighten the dark evenings.

There is a new game which has started- at Gants Hill of all places!
