What would you class as unprofessional and inappropriate conduct in a school?
If a TA shouted at a co worker in front of the children?
If a TA approached a member a co worker to ask personal medical details about their child in the playground?
Because I'm having an issue at work with a co worker and have a meeting about it later today...

TA trying to get class back into school.
Lots of not listening and talking.
I was stood next to line TA was at the front so couldn't see who was talking.
I said quietly "x please go to the back of the line" and the TA strife over to me, hand up to my face and said really sharply
"Do you mind not interfering when I'm trying to deal with the children!?"
I apologised - somewhat shocked at her outburst.
The kids were 😳
It really wasn't my intention to interfere...I was trying to help a co worker!
But now I'm doubting myself and wondering if I was out of order?
This is the same TA that came up to me last term and so spoke SO patronisingly to me re Ds2 - "we do have rules you know!"

Badderz - if you've not already done it, write it all down in a bullet point format. Keep it clear and concise and unemotional (which I'd struggle with). Have an idea of what you want the outcome to be.

What's going on is not acceptable. If the TA approaches you/speaks to you eg in the playground, tell them you're not discussing it there but will speak later in private.

Cross-post. Raise that incident as an issue "of course it's important that we work as a team... present a united front ... show the children how to speak to each other in an acceptable manner if there's a difference of opinion ... set an example ... blah blah blah"

Or tell her to fuck off. In private of course.

I like LetUs's second (private) suggestion. But the others are probably better for the purposes of a meeting about said co-worker.

Apparently the person is going to apologise on Monday (?) but I shouldn't have said Anything so...yeah.
But I have bigger issues ATM
Not been very happy with the new year 3 teacher - and I have heard from a friend (ta) that she keeps making ds2 cry
He is such a good boy - never in trouble - and the ta would not have said anything if it wasn't bad
I heard her speak very sharply to him today over nothing - she thought I had already gone home - someone gave him his jumper and she had a real go at him for forgetting it.
Really? A child who just gets on with his work and never causes trouble?

What do I do?
Parents evening next week and dh is bloody away again!!

I suppose at least there'll be an apology of some sort, and hopefully she won't carry on as she was.

As far as DS2's teacher is concerned, do you feel able to speak with her and she would listen or do you not know her well enough? I'm not sure about speaking to her at parents' evening or not. Don't know what yours are like, but ours tend to be "you have this time limit and no more". You might be better speaking to her separately? Or at Parents' Evening ask if she has concerns about his behaviour (which obviously you know full there isn't). And lots and lots of cuddles for DS2 and reassurance for him.

If I'm still concerned I will ask for a 1-1 meeting with Dh and i when he is back...is that a good idea?
TBH I'm wondering if that's why the TA is being a bit of a cow...the teacher is probably treating her badly too :(
The school had a nightmare a few years ago with an unsuitable year 2 maternity leave teacher - she made the kids lives hell and ended up being sacked so I guess I've got that at the back of my mind 😞🤔
I'm going to try not to stress about it too much over the weekend.

Well. FML wenches. Today I have spent nearly 5 sodding hours in the car ferrying DH and DS about. FFS to the power of 10. I need a meet-up stat. So we can all slob on the sofa and eat chocolates and drink wine and generally chill and snigger a lot.

The patio area has now all been leveled and approved for use as a toilet by the cats

Is there going to be an Xmas meet up btw?
Not on FB so I don't always get to know about them!
I've just eaten a shedload of biscuits.
