As above. It's late, and I'm too tired to be clever or witty. (Business as usual then Hmm )

If anyone needs me I'll be in the hayloft with Athos Grin

Evening wenches.

Looking in the mirror (especially the one at work) makes me feel old.

It's looking jolly nice in here. Thanks Helen.

DS2 is watching We Bare Bears. I love Ice Bear Grin

DS1 got his GCSE targets today. They're very good targets so I've done the "well done, you'll have to work very hard, that's brilliant" - your basic shit sandwich Grin

Then he forgot to bring home his equipment for a trip thing he's going on. Let's hope he remembers tomorrow.

DH is out again tonight.

A level predicted grades. I have been corresponding with a teacher at Ralph Thoresby School in Leeds about my daughter's predicted grades. She achieved a B at AS level this year. The teacher is only prepared to predict a B at A level. He writes that it is very difficult to gain an A grade at A level if only a B is achieved at AS level. He then cites statistcs to demonstrate this. Those statistics are utter nonsense becauss the mark at AS level does not count towards the A level anymore. In other words the AS level is like a mock exam. My daughter achieved an A at GCSE in the subject but still the teacher won't predict an A grade therby ruining my daughter's chance of receiving an offer from Manchester University. The teachers are frightened of UCAS resulting in the children's interests coming second to the school. They are hampering the xtudent's chances because they do not seem to realise their statistics are completely wrong. If we had known this beforehand my daughter would never have joined the sixth form at Ralph Thoresby School.

Evening, need to crack on with dinner, but thought I'd check in first. It's looking very clean in tidy in here, but I think that's because everyone is in the cupboard with letus

Hope your migraine stays away madame - have a fab evening

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/10/2016 20:59

Not sure we'll be much help in here, but erm, welcome anyway.

LetUsPrey · 20/10/2016 21:27

I might be wrong but I think 4ought could be on the wrong thread, but good luck anyway!

Bit chilly isn't it?

FancyFancy · 20/10/2016 21:32

With a pic like that letus, this cant be the wrong thread for anyone surely? Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/10/2016 21:35

So, where was I - apart from wenches do HBFs theatre trips?

LetUs - that's some lovely decoration, though Athos and Aramis look a bit bored - shall we entertain them? Wink If Aramis turned slightly you'd get a much better view of chestage. I think I'll have to herlp Athos with his.
Also targets? not on my radar yet - apart from like this Grin

Hey wenches. Phone wench trouble here so apologies for radio silence. So awful when Without!!!! Always interesting to see how much of the day you are piddling around on phone when you don't have it. I am constantly filling in any 'waiting time' reading news websites and hate it when I can't tinker around on phone when in queues etc.

Anyway. I'm totally out the loop on Bake off etc, but have read entire Guardian last night so up to date on Hard Brexit and Trumpery. I'm a Nasty Woman too 'Donald' if that means a Feminist and proud of it. Grin.

Comtess · 20/10/2016 21:45

Any spottings of Burke filming in that London village? Any Strikes at all?

Desperate for new book to come out at Christmas....

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/10/2016 21:52

Comtess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mwah!!!

According to twitter they've only just cast Robin.

We're watching Bake Off just now. "It's rather large and will grow more - I think I'll just put it in"

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 20/10/2016 21:55

Morning comtess - good to have you back, did your phone have sunstroke? Grin. Not that I'm jealous, oh no.

I'm not aware of any TB sightings, but I'm not one of his stalkers loyal fans, so am probably not the person to ask. Still enjoying the job? And have you had to deal with any exotic diseases or injuries yet?

Comtess · 20/10/2016 22:22

Ah, haven't been on Twitter yet. Do we know who has been cast? How exciting!!! Ah, we can all dream of being Robin.

(btw Helen very impressed with nuzzling neck dream. Yum)

Fancy it's set for another beautiful day. My hair, it transpires, looks great when not frizzled by perma-drizzle. Worth moving purely for that. Phone was trouble with 3G disappearing after new iOS update and then wifi couldn't connect. Sorted eventually by Apple Store guy with man-bun.

Work is fine. Still feel very new and having to ask questions all the time, but so calm and have so much time compared to old job. Still feel like I'm on holiday though. Am gearing up for IKEA buying trip after work. Beds, duvets and cushions currently on list.

FancyFancy · 20/10/2016 22:29

Hm, I suppose I can forgive him his man-bun for sorting the problem.

Two months in & I still feel like I'm constantly asking asking questions Blush, so you have my sympathy. Still, you can get away with questions when you're new so I guess it's best to ask away.

Good luck with IKEA, shall we order a search party if you're not out of the marketplace by a pre-arranged time?
