If you had sent your kids to tea with your ex p and they came back with their hair cut, would you be annoyed? Or am I being pathetic?

I would expect exp to at least call to check with you first.

He's not my X he's still here,( ), but if he took her out and cut her hair now i'd be livid!!!

This happened to a friend of mine, and she was livid - quite rightly too!

I rang him and said could you ask me next time please and he said "Will you be asking me in future?". He then hung up.

I think he should have considred you first before getting their hair cut. I would be so annoyed i'd be tempted to go and while hes asleep shave all his hair off to see if he likes it.

IMHO if/when to have a child's hair cut should be the responsibilty of the parent who lives with the child. So no you're not being pathetic and no you shouldn't have to consult your ex either.

This is just me mind but I would have been greatful for him in thinking for himself and actually doing something proactive. However, I don't have an ex-p so I might feel like you if I did.

If he'd asked me, I would have said yes. I'm just annoyed that he didn't at least consult me first. I'm pretty sure it's just a power thing though, his way of letting me know he will do as he wants.

I agree, probably just a power thing to wind you up - you should have smiled and said you were EVER so grateful - he probably wouldn't do it again!!
If they stop getting a rise out of you, they'll stop trying.

And, unless he did it himself, he's paid for it too .

my dp took ds1 went he was dropping off the sd's and his EW gave my baby his frst hair cut - boy was I pissed off. Not cos she cut it (she is an excellent barber) but cos it was his very first cut - something I wanted to watch happen and I would have kept some of the hair.
She still cuts it now and I don't mind at all, it was just that first cut that had me livid.
