You'll love it here OP. We all wash our towels AND bedlinen every day.

Just don't mention loo brushes and you'll be fine.

Can chikd abuse images etc appear on your computer screen out of the blue? I had Internet at home since 2005 and never seen anything like that. God what if though ..

EmpressKnowsWhereHerTowelIs · 05/09/2016 19:49

There's a longstanding tradition of namechanging here. A lot of people do it every so often to preserve anonymity, or sometimes just to be in fashion. We even have namechanging competitions sometimes, judged by HQ.

Buzzardbird · 05/09/2016 19:50

I don't think so Sole. That is why they plough through the computer. The IP address is presumably how they get caught in the first place.

Sarahanne1988x · 05/09/2016 19:50

Right I got it :) thanks

lalaland1985 · 05/09/2016 19:50

It's a derogatory term used to describe a Protestant. In the usual Glaswegian style it's also linked to rangers football club supporters and unionists.

SoleBizzz · 05/09/2016 19:50

Buzzard I hope not. Thank you x

Soubriquet · 05/09/2016 19:51

I can't see how random child porn can appear on someone's computer

Even if you hacked someone's wifi, they would still download on your device and not the persons who wifi you had hacked

Sarahanne1988x · 05/09/2016 19:54

This was my argument
I am no pleb head! And let's face it your arrested by five policemen accused and arrested for lots of indecent images of children
YOU ARE GUILTY end of I would leave my partner immediately and would stop all contact I thought was how most of the population of mothers would also react but it's surprising how many DONT.
Vile!

Buzzardbird · 05/09/2016 19:55

It doesn't Soub, if they find it on your computer then only people with access to your computer could have put it there.

WellErrr · 05/09/2016 19:55

There's no such thing as 'child porn.'

It's images of child sexual abuse.

Buzzardbird · 05/09/2016 19:57

They also remove cameras and video cameras etc. Funny how that wasn't mentioned in the thread on here or the similar one on NM.

Soubriquet · 05/09/2016 19:57

I'm well aware mn doesn't approve of the phrase child porn but it's used everyday and is understand to be abuse so let's not be pedantic

Buzzardbird · 05/09/2016 19:58

Exactly OP.

Soubriquet · 05/09/2016 20:00

I can sympathise with her too

I could hand on heart say my Dh would never look or search for those images. If he was arrested for that, I know it couldn't be true. It's just not him!

But I wouldn't post on mn about it either

LunaLoveg00d · 05/09/2016 20:01

I'm not banned from Netmums but left in the spring after I got totally pissed off with their intrusive advertising, their willingness to allow companies like FOrever Living and Younique to recruit, and the fact that everyone posting appeared to be about 22.

Here is MUCH better. Welcome!

CoconutAndVanilla · 05/09/2016 20:01

I signed up to this site a few days ago, I was previously a NetMumser, I didn't get banned since being here I don't think I'll ever be signing back into my NetMums account.

Spiderpigspiderpig · 05/09/2016 20:04

I was kicked off babyandbump for not agreeing with something the admin wiggles said. Can't even remember what it was now bit it was trivial.
She's a bit power happy though

LunaLoveg00d · 05/09/2016 20:06

I also hate that the parent supporters or whatever they're called on Netmums have so obviously been on an active listening course and every post is the same.

"So Anne, I'm hearing that you're sad and upset about being asked to leave NM after five years. That must be difficult, Anne. We're all here to support you, Anne. Would you like to talk more about South Wales, Anne? Keep talking to us, Anne." Hmm

Spiderpigspiderpig · 05/09/2016 20:07

wobbles

Spiderpigspiderpig · 05/09/2016 20:08

Ha luna I'm suspicious of them and wonder if they're robots

Sarahanne1988x · 05/09/2016 20:08

Omg I know I hated them advice users drove me insane Angry
Found it so patronising!

SeenoevilHearnoevilSpeaknoevil · 05/09/2016 20:09

Never been on it! Sounds like I dodged a bullet there! Much rather be on here with some fellow cockwombles.
Bet they wouldn't have threads about spray painted pidgeons and the oxo tower!

OhTheRoses · 05/09/2016 20:10

Join the campaign for "fuck off" and "atrocious cunt" tickers Grin.

I had a little interlude over there and it drove me nuts.

I'd like to see kirk over here though. He made me laugh and could challenge the Mnet Duracell chicken big time Grin

LunaLoveg00d · 05/09/2016 20:11

The thing is that having a band of trained people to point posters in the right direction is a great idea. People who are around at odd times of the night and can link to a page about getting your baby to sleep or chat to someone feeling very low at 2am.

It's the patronising and twee way in which they do it though - if a RL counsellor spoke to me like that i'd get up and walk out.
