Tools, Customise, click on Toolbars tab and choose the ones you want?

slug · 09/06/2004 13:27

View, toolbars, click on the ones you want.

jampot · 09/06/2004 13:37

or even right click on where the toolbar should be and then select

Hulababy · 09/06/2004 13:44

The two main toolbars are the ones called Standard and Formatting, if that helps.

So you have lost the actual Menu Bar at the top then?

And it definitely isn't anywhere else on the screen, in a different postition?

Is it just in Word?

Right - will go and explore Word!

Hulababy · 09/06/2004 14:16

Try pressing [Alt] F

Does this bring up the File menu?

Hulababy · 09/06/2004 14:17

Damn, got to go - some other teacher has apparantly booked my computer room. Will try again later if you are still having problems.

Toothache · 09/06/2004 14:21

If you move the cursor right up until it's off the screen at the top, does the menu appear?

Is there a little box anywhere else on the screen?

Is it literally only the word document on the screen with nowt else?

mummysurfer · 09/06/2004 14:26

don't know if i'm still having problems - the missing tool bar is at work, i'm now at home, i've asked them to email the word document with the missing tool bar, but they still don't have internet connection.
i've told them to try alt f but they can't try at the moment as they're trying to re-establish a connection (they have accidentally cut the wire

  • this means I've come home

thanks for your help hula

it's driving me mad.
i ahve done a document cribbed from all over the place...it's in toomany different fonts, in many different sizes. so basically it's a load of tosh.
i can't even run spell check on it!!

I'd recommend going here and posting your question. they've sorted out loads of my problems before and are brilliant. HTH
