I'm picking one up in an hour and I suddenly thought about insurance. So dh has phoned insurance company and it's costing us another £22 to be covered on a courtesy car until Saturday.

Dh is really annoyed because we've only just bought our car and it's still under warranty. He feels that the garage should foot the £22 insurance.

Should I tell them that when I pick the car up?

I thought these were covered by the garage's insurance? If they haven't checked your insurance docs how do they know you're insured at all?

You have to sign something saying you accept all responcibility. I'm picking the car up and I'm only insured as a name driver. I hope that doesn't matter because I'm going to have to sign for it.
