Email query - can you help?

My mate is on ntlworld and lately, she can't get into some of my emails - at first, it just seemed like attachments but now its things I have forwarded. And its not just mine anymore, its other peoples as well that she can't open
Any ideas?

I'm on ntlworld and I've had no problems. Sometimes it can be due to local server, but it does seem odd.

Anyone help??? She can always open the e-mail, it's just the attachment. When she clicks on the clip, the attachment title isn't in bold, just faint, so when she clicks on it, it won't open the attachment.

Do they come through as attachments ending in .eml? I get these sometimes. If you open the attachment, you see the email.

If she's looking at them in Outlook Express, it sounds like one of her security settings is set to disallow any attachment which may contain a virus - in practise this means that it disallows virtually every sort of attachment.

Tools, Options, Secutiry tab, "Do not allow attachments to be opened or saved which could potentiall be a virus"

is she using outlook? sometimes the security settings (in Tools, then Options, then Security, then untick Do not allow attachments to be opened that could be a virus). If you untick this to read an attachment make sure she ticks it back on afterwards. It won't let you open most attachments but then that can be a good thing when the next virus comes along!

I know this wasn't my thread but I have (had) the same problem and have now been able to view all the attachments that I couldn't before - thanks!
