lol ks!

becca, they WILL find something, it will be loads of insignificant things, he'll suggest they have an electrical survey, gas check and other things as he wont be able to tell - that sort of thing

LIZS · 07/06/2004 14:42

Probably looking for anything which comes under the NHBC guarantee or any obvious modifications or cracks. They'll always be careful not to commit themselves where there might be problems and recommend follow ups. Does sound a bit excessive though

Beccarollover · 07/06/2004 16:07

He said there is a wire that should be earthed in the bathroom that isnt, the smoke alarm needs to be put back (it was only down for a battery change ffs) and the ceiling in the living room needs to be painted!!!!

WOW THATS A BRILLIANT SURVEY. mINE WAS CRAP COMPARED TO THAT! oops caps. I suppose they are hartd pushed to find much wrong with new (ish) builds. arent they cheeky though the way they say things need painting and stuff?

Beccarollover · 07/06/2004 16:44

I know! I dont see how decor is anything to do with survey!!

Its all just cream walls and white woodwork in here but in the living room it needs an extra coat as the coat underneath shows up a bit - picky or what!?!?

So....do you think all in all everything will go ahead fine with this?

OP posts:
Fio2 · 07/06/2004 16:52

yes it will be fine!

The bank surveyor for the first house we bought did the most useless survey I've ever seen. It basically said there was too much stuff in the house to be able to see what state it was in.
