I love fishfinger sandwiches in white bread with vinegar.

WHen we had some builders round to quote for extending our patio the other day, dh wa discussing very serioulsy measurements and quotes with them when dd pointed at him and shouted very loudly and clearly 'Daddy, you farted, you farted, you farted'.

I grew up in a way most people here think is posh.

I lived on a rough council estate.

It was just like anywhere else, the good and hte bad.

My Dad is a science and maths teahcer, and I screwed up on both subjects in my exams.

I like Lidl's and Primark. There..I confess!

doggiesayswoof · 25/01/2007 10:45

I love fish fingers with oven chips and hellman's.
I love white bread toasted with MARGE.
I love dd's broad little glasgow accent and will not try to make her talk posh.
Dd is having spag out of a tin for her tea tonight followed by tinned rice pudding with jam.

mytwopenceworth · 25/01/2007 10:46

i snigger at the posh and poncey buggers on here

expatinscotland · 25/01/2007 10:46

I would like to own a deep fat fryer.

Last night, when DH came 'haeme', he brought me a poke of chips.

W/salt and vinegar even though he's a brown sauce man.

THAT is romance!

kittylette · 25/01/2007 10:48

lol my two pence, me too

doggiesayswoof · 25/01/2007 10:50

yeah but mytwopenceworth they are sniggering at themselves too, you know

doggiesayswoof · 25/01/2007 10:51

So is it true expat - do the folk in the east like salt 'n' sauce rather than salt 'n' vinegar?

expatinscotland · 25/01/2007 10:52

Yes, East Coasters like that vile, minging brown sauce.

Which is devil's work.

Salt and sauce is the way to go, so you can still enjoy the flavour of the chip and not just that boak sauce.

gingermonkey · 25/01/2007 10:57

I am still in my jammies, and have had to answer the door twice - once to the postman and once to the cleaner (ok, having a cleaner is a bit poncey, but still I'm not dressed and have no intention of getting dressed before lunch!)
