There is a bit of a preconception over what is involved. Many parents seem to think thatif their baby is a bit cute (and lets face it we allthink that of our own kids) then they should be a model.

There is of course a lot more to it than that, quirkiness, location all play a part. You have to be prepared to attend numerous castings and have a thick skin.

Personally I don;t have the time or commitment, but I still don't feel that those who have made this choice should be takenm the mick out of like that.

Perhaps they would be better off on NAPM (who are on the whole a greatbunch of people and very clued up and feet on the ground), than on mumsnet.

When members go to castings and auditions they wear yellow ribbons to recognise each other.

I use it for info on licensing mostly. (I am a theatre matron)

Twiglett · 24/01/2007 13:20

what's that Olive?

Twiglett · 24/01/2007 13:20

Oh .. I get it

i have never heard of wearing ribbons?

oliveoil · 24/01/2007 13:22

mine are stunning and extremely inteligent but I keep that to myself mostly

are the ribbons pinned on your foreheads?

julienetmum · 24/01/2007 13:22

Why is that any more of a joke than the idea (which has been talked about many many times on here of mumsnetters wearing badges)

if youknow you are going to be in the same place as several others youtaqlk to online it makes sense to come up with a system of recognising each other.
