Picture frame
Photo album
Candles
Posh wine/chocolates/food in general

Run into a home store reflecting their style and taste and buy something 'decorative' ( ie The Pier/Habitat)

Book tokens?

Not stuff for house or anything that depends on them sharing your taste.

Anyone springing this on me at that short notice would get a bottle of good champagne - no-one dislikes it, it's fun, you can never have too much and it doesn't clutter up the place.

If you have pics of them over the 17years it might be nice to put them all in an album spanning their time together, & ending blank pages for the wedding pics?

wurlywurly · 23/01/2007 12:48

depends how much you have available to spend??

How bout a wedding night in hotel??

themoon66 · 23/01/2007 13:25

I second the 'good champagne' too. Nobody could object to that.

A tree.
A really good quality leather photo album (like the ones from Aspinal).
If you get good champagne, maybe get a couple of nice glasses for them too - so they have something to keep.
An IOU for a lovely dinner out at a posh restaurant.

Re a couple of champagne glasses - dh and I ended up with 4 completely mismatching pairs which is really annoying as we can't use them all together!

Vouchers for afternoon tea/theatre?

I like the idea of a tree or rosebush if they have a garden.
