katzguk, I have been wanting to get into this. How did you start?

My sister, who lives in the States, tells me that scrapbooking is a massive hobby over there. Social too, with groups gathering once a month or so over drinks and nibbles. What sort of things do you put in a scrapbook katzguk?

katzguk · 04/06/2004 18:02

i was a card marker who got fed up of giving away all her hard work!!!

at the moment i'm just scrapbooking DD baby photos and added extra bits.

i bought a starter kit from qvc i think and its grown from there

azure you best bet is to get your sister to send you stuff i buy lots of stuff from the states because it is so much cheaper even with p n p

I have a scrapbook in which I have collages made up with images from magazines. When I look back to pages I made over 10 years ago it really shows the change of fashion, celebs and what was important to me at the time.

I also have memory boxes, one for me and one for ds twins, where I put things, such as their birthday cards, first pictures drawn, first proper shoes etc. What can I say, I am a packrat, I throw nothing away!

I have one memory box for each year od dd's life - actually use her shoeboxes. I put in programmes from events she went to; plane, train and ferry tickets; birthday invites and all manner of other things that are relevant to that year.
