DD1 managed to lob the wireless mouse across the room and the batteries came out but as far as I can tell no further damage done to it. I put the batteries back but now I can't get the mouse to register on screen. The mouse arrow is on the apple logo (top left) and I can manually get to system preference / keyboard & mouse but then I'm stuck. I can't get it to tab across to the mouse section manually to get it to re-acknowlege it.

Can anyone help at all? Getting bored of tabbing everything!!!

hello

we had a wireless apple mouse, it was a constant pain tbh, is it still under warranty? we had ours exchanged twice then replaced with a "mighty mouse", it is SO brilliant

my dh is asking if there was a thin piece of metal that came loose or fell out on impact, that happened to ours, we ended up buying a usb mouse for when our wireless one was not working

I am not sure but think the wireless mouse seemed much more sensitive to knocks than usb mouse, it looked good, was nice to have one less wire but it was too much hassle in the end,

I hope you get it sorted

sorry for slow reply - tabbing everything takes bloody ages. I don't think anything came out. I don't think it's totally broken because the drop down menu will come up when i click on the apple logo but the arrow just won't move anywhere. Have tried the apple website and calling the apple helpline (closed until the five minutes it is open when there is an R in the month grrrrrrrrrrrr). Might have to get myself a usb mouse I think. agree re. looking nice. classic case of form over function methinks.

pennies you have my sympathy, sometimes ours started working after shutting it and leaving it alone for a while

you need a mighty mouse, it has lots of cool features, really great, no buttons on top, little ball thing on the top in the middle that scrolls through the page you are on, I hardly move the mouse now when looking at a page

two buttons on the side that you push in to open mail

Ours eats batteries, It's pretty useless, but DH prefers to use it with his powerbook.

You might need to reinstall it
