HELP Neff Ovens - anyone got one?

Really boring topic sorry but i've got a stainless steel Neff double oven and absent mindedly left the grill handles in the top oven when it was at 200!!!! Consequently the plastic handles have melted all over the base of the oven. I've managed to get a fair bit off. Anyone got any good tips for cleaning black marks off. THe book says not to clean with abrasives etc but washing up liquid is not enough. Perhaps a call to 'how clean is your house' is in order!

Haven't got a Neff oven and not a good housewife but have you tried bicarb of soda?? Some people swear by it. Otherwise - how about buying a new oven

thanks wk, i'll try it. Buying a new one is not likely as it's only 8 months old! Suppose I could claim on lnsurance though if needs be. Thanks for the tip. How go's it with JMG1 then?

ok, got a neff oven and the cleaner has defo used harsh abrasives. We don't have any probs with it, but maybe we've got a cheaper version!
