Do driving instructors work evenings?

My provisional has just come through today and I'm looking to book my first lesson. A lot of instructors websites say 9-5 or something similar. Unfortunately I look after DS and my nephew until 6pm when DH gets home. Are some of them flexible if asked or would that be rude of me? Childcare isn't really an option because everyone is at work.

I thought they pretty much all did evenings at least a couple of times a week and Saturdays - although I think most charge more. I had about 4 different instructors and most of my lessons were around 7 or 8 in the evening. It was never an issue.

My instructor let me take my son in the car, though she may have regretted it as he was always sick.

DH works 6-8:30pm Monday-Thursday.

Yes mine used to meet me from the train station after work, I'd have my lesson then drive home
