Can anyone help, dd is supposed to take in a poem for her homework, any ideas of an appropriate prom for 5 year olds?

Hmm -
Maybe some Walter de la Mare (Slowly, Silently Now the Moon...) or Eleanor Farjeon?
Also, not strictly a 'children's' poem (as it may not make sense to them) but the first verse in Gerard Manley Hopkins "The Windhover" has a lovely rhythm.

Spike Milligan is good too - particularly "...The wind blew in on poor old granny"
Or Pam Ayres "I wish I'd looked after me teeth"?
