my dd's are 5, one very slim, the other, not fat at all, but a little tubbier than her twin!

I have such trouble getting her trousers

Firslty she isnt tall so that doesnt help either. But all the shops seems to have nowadays is these adjustable waistbands, but i usually only have to pull in one or two holes, then they don't grip her and the front usually comes down under her tummy and then she has a builders bum!!

Not sure if I'm making sense her lol

But they never stay up

Just upsets me as her twin can wear anything and look lovely and poor Ellie (who also has SN) can't wear the same nice stuff

anywhere still do proper elasticated waists? and generous sizes???

Next seem to think that all 5 year olds are really skinny with lovely shaped waist

We have the same issue with dd. She's within the weight range for her height, but it's just her shape. We always have trouble getting her trousers.

H&M have dungarees from time to time which work well. I did get two lovely pairs of trousers from Next which were elasticated for her, but they are more a jogging bottoms type.

Also, Tesco are fairly generous and have elasticated things as well. Dd doesn't like the adjustable waist because the buttons at the side annoy her. She also has issues with the toebar in socks and the way tights fit!! Not fussy at all, my dd!!

thanks

Lol, one of mine is like that with the socks!! I end up shouting "they have to be joined somewere"!!!

I think I am going to have to start getting trouser lengths altered for her, save having huge huge turn ups

Roll on summer when they can be cropped!!

Got some lovely cropped ones from Next the other day, but the age 6 fell down, swapped for the age 7 (she is 5!) and they still wouldn't stay at her 'waist'
