any advice on the best website for uploading digital pics onto web, have a friend heading off on a world trip who'd like to set a page up. thanks

I use Photobucket too - easy to use, and free with seemingly unlimited memory space allowed.

the hewlett-packard website is pretty good too. free to use. the only thing is they e-mail you if you're not using the alocated webspace within 6 months (i think) and if you still don't use it, they delete your 'memebership', but you can create a new account anyway.
