Help needed form Janh - the google queen!

Hi Jan, my ds1 got a Brazil shirt for his birthday, along with the money to have the name/number of his choice put on the back. We toddled off to JJB's to have Ronaldo and a number 9, only to be told that the Brazil shirt has special numbers/letters and what we should do is find them on the internet, order them from there and then they will put them on for us. I have searched google, yahoo and everywhere else I can think of but to no avail.

As you are the supreme google queen, could you please please please spare the time to make a 11 year old boy (and me!!) very happy? I'm sure that you have never been defeated yet!

ps Thanks for the email and congrats - you were right we are in France then, but will raise a few glasses to the lot of you!

Hi, lilibet! Will do my google best but will also ask DH if he can find out anything (he works for allsports) or is that cheating? It's a green one, presumably?

(Alternatively, DS2 has a ManU shirt with Ronaldo and 7 on the back....different Ronaldo of course! )

its a yellow one, no idea what colour the letters should be. Didn't know that your gorgeous dh worked for allsports?
Is everyone ok?

I mean the letters/number are green, not the shirt, durr!

Have done lots of googling, no luck so far. Many shirts on ebay but all XL and fakes AFAICS.

It's complicated because the letters have to be yellow now, to go on the green yoke at the back, but the number has to be green AND go on the front in a green circle too - like this .

(Am assuming the shirt comes with the green yoke? It doesn't have to be printed on with the letters cut out????)

All fine here btw! And yes, DH (will tell him he's gorgeous!) does work for allsports - IT dept - speaks to merchandising etc though so can ask about these numbers.

I've also had a look for you lillibet and although I found a couple of companies that produced lettering for football shirts, you have to be a company/buy in bulk... sorry

It is possible that a big allsports shop could print it for you - DS2 has the blue Man U strip with van Nistelrooy on the back (fitting that on a 9-yr-old took some doing!) which allsports in Mancs were able to print, but when we went to JJB in Blackburn to try to get the same added to his red shirt - he has a whole wardrobe! - their machine couldn't do a shirt that size. (Ronaldo is on his black shirt....) So there are variations.

DH out just now, will ask when he comes back (but may well have to wait until Tues now).

OK - DH is back - showed him the ebay pic and he went oo-er, no shop is going to have yellow letters.

Said he would ask next week so REMIND ME!!!!!
