How long ago did you paint it ??

I use watercolours - but I gather from the people in my class ( who use oils ) that it could be a couple of weeks

DONT overheat ( ie : stand it against a radiator ) but make sure that it's in a well ventillated room at room temperature

Any Help ?

All depends on how thick the oil is really, hard to say without seeing it. I would hazard a guess as a few days. In future, a little turps or other thinner added to the paint would make it dry quicker. HTH

the paint is rather thick due to being painted by a 3 1/2 yr old-up to 1/3inch in places!

How long is the train journey .... Now don't laugh ... could you ..... ermmm .... FREEZE it ???

Maybe that's a crap idea ? Just thought that then it wont smudge ...

But you'd have to get there before it defrosts

How did it go then ????

philippat · 01/06/2004 18:41

hate to say this, but if it's proper artists' oil paint, not thinned down with turps, it might take a year or longer to dry...
