Is it toxic?? The pot says to seek medical advice if swallowed??

P.S. How do you get it out of the carpet

It'll be fine. Mine used to eat it by the bucket load.

And it's a bugger to get out of carpets and off of skin. Sorry!

belgo · 10/01/2007 14:13

Has she swallowed much of it?

frumpygrumpy · 10/01/2007 14:14

I think if its just a bit then she will be totally fine. Milk is always a good thing to follow dodgy stuff.

I stand corrected if it was the whole tub..........

WigWamBam · 10/01/2007 14:14

I wouldn't think it would hurt her but you could ring NHS Direct and ask them for advice.

WRT getting it out of the carpet, this apparently works, but only if you haven't tried scrubbing at it first. Scrape up what you can of the Sudocreme with a knife, then sprinkle talcum powder all over what's left. Leave it on for as long as you can for the talc to absorb the grease - at least a couple of hours, overnight if you can - then hoover it up.

WWB that sounds fab, feel like splodging some on my carpet now just to try it

monkeymonkeymoomoo · 10/01/2007 14:16

Don't think she had much, smeared most of it around her face, in her clothes and on the carpet... only out of the room for 30secs!

Just had a heart attack reading the back of the pot!

Hi - I'm an ex NHS direct nurse. Sudocreme is not toxic, we used to get lots of calls from parents whose kids had eaten it!

belgo · 10/01/2007 14:19

don't worry too much about your dd! I don't think a tiny amount would have done her any harm. I'm not so sure I can say the same about your carpet though!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 10/01/2007 14:19

Wet wipes for getting it off the carpet - or anything else for that matter.

DS regularly steals the pot to feast on it

I tend to think of it as him giving himself some preventative treatment

LOL - VVVQ
