Self Storage -,how does it work ?

Assuming we move soon we're considering putting some items into storage for the short term at least as there won't be a garage to put it in while we sort ourselves out. Have used longer term storage before where removal men came with a container, packe dupt he items, took it away sealed, returned it to us 4 years later intact. If we self store do we just get allocated a lockup type unit and keep the key/lock ? Can we come and go as and when we need to ?

yes - you choose the size of unit you want and then you have the key and can come and go during the buildings opening hours. You take your stuff there and collect it when you need it.
