a recent party we went to gave little books wrapped up instead of party bags.

maybe a little bag of stuff from somewhere like Claires/Girl Heaven or whatever.

I used 'city of marvels' before now, they advertised on here.. were very good, lovely woman and fast service. At least I think that was the name

I felt the same with dd's party although she was just 3!
I put some hair bobbles and small bubble baths and one of those little beaded purses.
Could you record them singing and put it on a cd for them to take home?

wurlywurly · 10/01/2007 11:13

give them a piece of cake to take home, but in the mean time take a nice photo of the group of them and put them in individual photo frames its something different and something they can keep ???

thats ok if there is only a few of them just explain to them that they will get a special something a couple of days after the party.

marymay · 10/01/2007 11:17

it depends how many you have coming.instead of giving them a party bag i gave them all a cheap girly bag from primark.
i put in some hair stuff and lip gloss.it went down really well with dd friends,
or maybe a purse with something in it.

a toy microphone so they can carry on teh pop stars theme - ds2 was given one at a party and played with it for ages. Not sure where they were from - Tesco / Woolworhts / Poundland - I would think.

buktus · 10/01/2007 11:19

if you are near a disney store most of them are doin great boxes full of bits and bobs in the sale, keyrings, purses, knickers, small cuddly toys etc

It was DD's 4th birthday party on Sat ( birthday was yesterday - little lamb!) and we did - power balls, tattoo's, little magic pads etc - all dead cheap from Hawkins Bazaar!!

JackieNo · 10/01/2007 11:33

I've got a load of glow sticks and bracelets from this site for DD's upcoming birthday party bags - relatively cheap, I think, and quick delivery. If you look in the 'party supplies' section (left hand side menu) there are some packs of stuff.

Sorry to hijack thread but i have been wondering to put in party bags for a five year old party, they are all going tobogganing but there is no where to cut a cake or eat so I need to bring something prepared to hand out, any ideas?

Thanks
