Our bathroom sink makes a glugging soundabout 2 secounds after the water goes down.
Could there be a problem?

Could be bungged up with hair and soap, drop some bleach down to see if it helps, if not do a Mr Muscle thingy that should sort it out..

I think it's an air escape thing: as water goes down, air has to go somewhere. It's supposed to go out the venting pipe that goes up to your roof. But if that's blocked then the air has to come back out the drain. Do you get smells from the sink? If not I wouldn't worry too much. But maybe momof2's husband has more info.

In a bathroom the sink, bath and shower all drain to one point and enter the 4 inch wc pipe. If the they join, which they normally do, before they enter the 4 inch pipe then the pipe diameter should be increased from 1.5 inch to 2 inch. This often is not done, hense the gurgling. Really only an acoustic problem.
