Anyone in Petts wood

Hi Poppyh, I grew up in Petts Wood from the age of 12 and my brother still lives there, it's a nice area, split quite distinctly by the railway line. The big houses one side the normal houses the other!! I lived the other

The amenities are good, you have virtually everything you could want there and Morrisons is an ok supermarket. Crofton infant and primary school is very good, both my nephews go there and are very happy. Darrick Wood is also supposed to be very good. There are a couple of nice parks around there and travel to London is really easy.

The area has a pretty distinct age range of young families or older people, there is very little for older children / teens to do but then again they can easily get a bus into Bromley or Orpington.

It's certainly a safe enough area and we had little or know trouble while we were there. We haven't moved far away as we're in Bromley and I still pop into Pettts Wood if I need convenient shopping. Hope that helps Beksmum
