IS ANYONES DH A TILER ?

we are tiling the kitchen and dh says you can get some stuff to go on the walls before you tile, like some sort of backing board to level out your walls.

He has no idea what it is or what its called, can anyone help?

try plasterboard dh says. not a tiler btw

dp is a director of a tiling company. just asked him and he said it is tiling backing board. prob get it from builders merchants and maybe some where like topps tiles. you normally use it in wet rooms as it is expensive and therefore plaster board would work aswell and be cheaper. hth. x
