Pann · 03/01/2007 14:12

seeing if I can eat something. And do some housework. No energy, so this place looks like it should be/has been condemned.

And go to quacks, FMF, if your thing has been lingering. Laters.x

suzycreamcheese · 03/01/2007 14:36

hey pann, you guys getting racy on this thread!
i've got a suggestion why dont you hang around on internet chat rooms discussing sex and cold remedies as is your want, housework can wait and you sound ill old boy,
and i say use ginger garlic fresh mixture but before it happens (the cold that is) is better

Pann · 03/01/2007 14:41

thanks, suzy. But h/work CAN'T wait!! It's waited for a week now and am expecting a yellow cordon to be thrown up around here.......and dd is coming for tea and she is THE ARCHED domestic critic!!

suzycreamcheese · 03/01/2007 14:44

if she's that fussy let her do it..no visible housework is a sign that you are really ill, way past caring, infact if not here to help then buzz off really folks am not in mood...imho

VeniVidiVickiQV · 03/01/2007 16:55

oh fgs, can we not talk cold remedies without innuendo and talk of "rubbing Vicks on your chest" etc

filthymindedvixen · 03/01/2007 17:31

can see why that might be a sore point with you VVVicki

VeniVidiVickiQV · 03/01/2007 17:39

Well, yes! As are nicknames involving "Vixen" lol! So - rather you than me

filthymindedvixen · 03/01/2007 17:48

doh! LOL!

Hinemoa · 03/01/2007 19:41

So have heard no howls from the Peaks - I wonder if he snorted???

If you really are going to try this Pann you brave brave man then soak a crushed clove of garlic in a little water and then squirt or snort the water up your nose. Natural antibiotic will help remove the infection. Might see stars for a few secs but hey its for a good cause.

I rung the doctor today for dd - she has an appointment on Friday. Not sure if we are going ...yet. She has had onion on the ear about 4 times today, and a hopi ear candle tonight. And some echinacea. Getting some cough tea recommended by our homeopath for her tomorrow to help loosen the chest. The chemist gave me a very nice chest and back rub specially made by them

Pann · 03/01/2007 20:43

yes, suzy...she is six years old, but will still nonetheless pass on your wise words to her. .

Paps - crushed three large cloves, mixed with warm water (about an egg cup), and proffered it to my nose......one sniff was horrible! I have a VERY sensitive nose! >

It didn't smell very garlicky...and snorting it would simply leave a deposit surely........might just rely on the amoxicillin and nurofen......>

Pann · 03/01/2007 20:45

And of course getting some warm, viscousy Vickis to smear on my fingers and rub into my deep chest...

Papillon · 03/01/2007 21:02

have heard dried garlic can be snorted, that would definately leave a deposit!

just snort the water man! or should I say paniry
