Something nice to do on New Years Day

We have a 3month old son who only sleeps on his tummy. We aren't very good at getting out in the morning. And DD needs to have a nap in the afternoon and will only do so in when in her buggy in a quiet room or on a stroll. I think I can get the back of the tandem down flat enough for DS to sleep on his tummy. Though this isnt ideal. Any ideas what we can do/where we can go? We live in Croydon but we dont mind a little drive out.

Not sure my nerves will cope in a crowd with a buggy and a timid 2 year old Nice idea for when they are a bit older I hope.

Thanks

It sounds like a nice long walk is the way to go. Is there any way you can get your ds used to sleeping in his buggy in the normal position?

He does a little but he is a little boy who likes lots of sleep. I guess one day with less won't hurt. He just gets rather frustrated. We did a walk yesterday afternoon. He is getting better but I don't do it often enough for him to get used to it. I just thought it was unfair if we went out all day.

Can you use a sling for him and take the buggy in case your dd gets tired ? North Downs (Box Hill, Reigate Hill, Leith Hill) or Ashdown Forest might be suitable for walking/running around in open space. Some NT places may have their grounds open too see list here and click to check .

Yes that is an option but he is the heaviest little mite going. Neither of our backs can take it for long. I use it quite a bit at groups so I can tend to DD in the week. But all day is a bit much. Also to add to it all DD has a strop if we put him in the buggy. ITS HERS!!!
