have asked for permission from carrie and she says this is fine.

hubby runs a voluntary organisation. the website is www.wdcp.ik.com - if you care to take a look.

thing is their funding runs out in October. we are both in the know about funding streams and are applying, so ...heres the crux of the matter - so if you run a business and could give discounted rates on busness cards or stationary or if you are a solicitor and could give free advice on the end of a phone. if you judge trust applications or have specific funding advice. dicounted sporting goods ar childrens games - you get the idea.

can any of you help?

thanking you in anticipation

custardo

HI Custy, can't offer help directly, but will have a think as to whether anyone I know can.

Marina · 24/05/2004 10:03

Hm, don't think I can help much - we have heaps of directories of grant-making trusts etc here but you say you're on the case with funding applications. Good luck, custy, and hopefully this thread will keep bubbling along until someone can contribute something tangible...

Is there a Community Foundation Network near you? They help groups access funding and give advice on grant applications. It's a while since I applied to trusts etc and someone else does it where I now work, but the key things I remember are to make sure it is well presented, to talk about the projected outcomes ie it's more important to talk about WHAT your project will achieve than to spell out HOW you will achieve it IYSWIM. Be specific about what you have already acheived too. Ask the local paper to help - do they have a community news section? If you have any other Qs then ask and I'll do my best to help!
