I visited my parents tonight

They are sitting in the dark and freezing cold. They had a power cut at 1pm, it was due to come back on at 6pm, but a phonecall at 8pm told them it should be back on by 10pm. My dad reckons the workmen are trying to get more overtime
I stayed there for a little while but had to come home as its just too cold.
Hopefully it will be back on very soon if not already.

There are in Hackney. I was tempted to go and knock at Hoxtonchicks house for some tea as I saw she had electricity

They have had a drink so can't drive. Its very cold out and foggy so I doubt they would want to walk. While I was there, we all had our coats on. I'll phone them shortly to see if its back on yet.

that's really bad for them! i hope they get the power on soon, it's blinkin freezing tonight

It came back on at around 10:45pm.
Lucky they had some candles, I don't have many at my house. Maybe I should get some to be on the safe side.
