PC has been on all day, like since 8am, and I've just 'popped in' throughout the day.

Nutcracker · 20/05/2004 20:34

Since i discovered MN which was in December last year, i don't think there has been a day when i haven't been on. It is incredibly addictive, but i love it.

feezy · 20/05/2004 20:37

I can't believe how addictive it is.Its the firdt thing I do when I've dropped kids off school - find out whats hapened overnight.

How did I know MN would be the subject of this thread?

feezy · 20/05/2004 20:41

lol at feezy, ive found that. even if im off doing something else, i tend to leave my computer on mumsnet and just check every now and again for anything new lol

Tommy · 20/05/2004 22:39

Hurrah - I thought it was just me!

coppertop · 20/05/2004 22:45

Just wait till you start referring to your children as "ds" and "dd" when talking about them to the neighbours etc.

dottee · 20/05/2004 22:48

It's been a Godsend to me. DP is trying to set up his own business and working from home but doesn't want to be disturbed sometimes. And I was going stir-crazy for 'adult' conversation a couple of months back and then getting into trouble when I kept interrupting him. So it has actually helped in our relationship !

Now I get shirty when he comes to interrupt me whilst I'm on MN!

The site's running all the time on my 'puter and I keep popping in when I can!

dottee · 20/05/2004 22:49

CT - I had to correct my contribution in my dd's home/school book this morning as I wrote 'BTW' and then realised where I was (writing!)

NottsMum · 20/05/2004 22:50

This place is fab... and so addictive I only found the site a couple of weeks ago and have already spent hours reading it.... I've not laughed so much in ages, some of the threads are hilarious. And if you haven't come across it, go and find the Brazilian thread

If it wasn't for broadband I think the bailiffs would have been round by now, given the amount of time I spend on the computer since I discovered MN...
and yes, feezy, I do too!

baldrick · 20/05/2004 22:52

er too much, on day off had it on in background for nearly 4 hours (but was like having friends round as know some people well....does that make any sense?? it's very familiar and comfortable really)...dh just popped his around the door from "The Postman" break and said errhhh you're on mumsnet....but of course I am

coppertop · 20/05/2004 22:53

LOL Dottee! I went to an NAS meeting a week ago. Afterwards I had to really struggle to remember whether I'd referred to dh by his name or as "dh".
