not necessarily. is this a temporary thing?

Totally natural, happens to most couples around retirement age. My mum was terrified when my dad retired but us kids have all kept him busy with DIY, babysitting and he volunteers on a steam railway once a week.
One of you needs to get a life. What's the story then, how come he's at home? (sorry, I'm nosy.)

Is it just because he is home all the time?

my dh used to work at home for years. Finally I said, get a job outside the home or else. It was because he had no one esle except me and not a lot of friends so he picked at me. HAs been out at work a few years now and we are fine. I am actually happy to see him when he comes in the door (but any vacation longer than 2 weeks starts to wear at me). Don't let him wind you up, bite your tongue. He will stop eventually if he doesn't get a reaction.
