Does my six year old still need to be in a car seat ??

Until they are 130cm.

I think it is 135cm or aged 12. A 6 yo is likely to need a high back booster seat.

My friend sent me this which is quite handy to check. Obv they would need to be the minimum height/weight too

Yep, 135cm or age 12, whichever comes first (but also depends on where the seat belt sits too)

Yes, if you are in the UK. They are updating the rules on car seats, too.
