fed up with cars

have applied for a mobility car for dh. was told initially it would be ready mid-end of june. then beginning of july. we have just had a phone call from the dealership, the car now wont be ready till mid-end of august!! this is getting stupid. we have holidays booked for end of june and a weekend in the lake district in july but will have no car for the summer.

just really want to let off steam about this as its getting me well p*ssed off.

Have they said why it won't be ready? If you have a date in writing then they should honour it or I'd go elsewhere. My dad had this problem with his mobility car and he went to a different dealer and they were great.

it wasnt in writing. apparently they is a huge back log and everyone is having to wait ages. today they have ordered the car and it has come up with a delivery date of the 18th aug. it may get moved forward a week. i phoned them back and asked why it was taking so long and said that if i had known this when we were looking at the car i would've gone elsewhere.

well we have annoyed them and annoyed them. the garage is now on a hunt to find a car somewhere, the same size/spec we ordered and 04reg and we can have that one. i told them it doesnt matter if its manual/auto or what colour it is as long as they tru their hardest to get it sorted as we will cancel our agreement if it isnt.
